Boa Nova | Concept
The restaurant Boa Nova Tea House is located in Leca Palmeira, Matosinhos, a place whose motto is “from the sea to table”. The menu reflects the local tradition, not to mention the products of the earth, and also connecting the property to the sea, taking advantage of the extraordinary quality of the fish and shellfish of this coastal zone of Portugal.
For the new space, Rui Paula created three tasting menus: The “Sea and Earth” and “Atlantic” menus, each with nine proposals and some culinary surprises, in a total of 14 sequences (120 euros), and various wines for harmonization (€ 75); and the smaller “Boa Nova” menu, with six optional dishes (85 euros) and the wine (40 euros). The proposals also includes three classics: Coastline fish and lobster stewed rice”, “‘Cataplana’ of fish and sellfish” and “Salted Bass” all 80 euros for two people and served in their proper containers, according to the old Portuguese tradition.
The wine service is a key pillar of the project Boa Nova Tea House. The list, created to be the height of gastronomic, architectural and landscape importance of the restaurant, with more than 450 references, from major wine regions of Portugal and the world, from the great wines of Porto, the great classics that rule the world wine, champagnes and national and international most unique and extraordinary white wines.
